I recently started reading one of the most insightful, argumentative, and thought provoking books regarding the issue of abortion I have come across. I am not a crier, but this book has made me weep numerous times, for numerous reasons.

The book in question?

Susan Wicklund’s “This Common Secret: My Journey as an Abortion Doctor.”

Dr. Wicklund outlines how she came to be an abortion doctor, the journey through school and the torment that followed. She describes many instances with patients, both those who did follow through with the abortion and those who did not. After a few years in practice, she was afforded the opportunity to open up her own clinic. In her own clinic, she admits, she is able to provide “reproductive health care” with a caring approach. She holds no punches in describing her mistakes and some abortions that should not have taken place. But she also holds no punches when it comes to describing the despicable acts, yes, DESPICABLE ACTS, that pro-life advocates have done to her, her family, and patients that went to her clinic. Over the next few posts, i will be sharing bits and pieces from her book, but if you are in a library and are able to sign this book out, do so. If you are in a book store and can purchase this book, do so. Either way, find a chance to read this book.

Remember, I am pro-life. Remember, I am a Christian. Remember, They’ll Know We Are Christians By Our Love!
